Greetings from the Gentle Teaching International committee!

As you may be aware, the development of Gentle Teaching International into a registered international non-profit organization is currently underway. The purpose of this development is to ensure that Gentle Teaching International will strengthen its ability to:

- Support and unify ongoing Gentle Teaching efforts across the globe;

- Promote Gentle Teaching training opportunities;

-   Ensure the consistency of Gentle Teaching across the world, despite differences in its application within various cultures.

-   Creating and maintaining a network of GT friends all over the globe

As a first step in this process, we are establishing a board of directors for Gentle Teaching International. We would like to extend an invitation for anyone interested to join in our efforts.

There are several ways in which you could be involved:

1.      Join our board of directors to be involved in the early decision-making processes in which we are currently involved: the role of board members are still under development, however at this point, a board member may be asked to do be responsible for special tasks, for instance: gatherings booklets, written all over the world, make training programs, and so on..

2.      Provide your input in the development of Gentle Teaching International by adding your name to our contact list: If you would like to support the ongoing efforts without joining the work of the board of directors, your input is still greatly valued. We would be happy to share the organization's progress and development through email contact

If you are interested, please respond to this email with the following information:

        Your preferred email address

        Your level of commitment during this start-up phase in the development of GTI as a registered organization

        The skills or abilities you can offer in this process: Are you familiar with board development? Organizational policy? Writing? Multi-lingualism? We all have many, varied talents that are of great value!

On behalf of John McGee and the GTI development team, thank you for your commitment to gentleness and justice for marginalized individuals. We trust that this process will bring new opportunities for many people to move in from the outskirts of society in many, many countries.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Connie Jones, Vice chair and

Maurits Eijgendaal, Chair, GTI board of directors

Communication from Maurits Eijgendaal -Chairperson  of the newly formed GTI board.
